Hormone Optimization
Testosterone, Estrogen, Progesterone, Thyroid, and Adrenal balance addressed under direct physician supervision, not a one-size-fits-all protocol.
Physician-guided evaluation and treatment of the hormones that affect energy, mood, body composition, and sexual health. That includes assessing ovarian, pituitary, thyroid, and adrenal function in women and testicular, pituitary, thyroid, and adrenal function in men. This encompasses perimenopause and menopause circumstances in women and low testosterone considerations in men.
You begin by ordering your Recalibrate Medicine comprehensive lab panel, completing a simple online form providing your medical history, symptoms and goals. Once your lab panel results are complete, we help you schedule a consultation with Dr. Mooney. He reviews the lab panel results, with you, himself, explains what each marker means, and recommends treatment and next steps based upon your labs, your symptoms, your needs and your goals. Your questions are addressed and answered. One-on-one care.
Treatment and lifestyle changes are aimed at the underlying imbalance rather than the lab value or symptom list alone. Because your levels are rechecked over time, dosing and dose timing can be adjusted as your body responds. The typical interval for lab panel rechecks and updates is every 3 months during the first 12 months of care.

Common questions about Hormone Optimization
Adults dealing with ongoing fatigue, low drive, mood changes, difficulty holding muscle, or changes in sexual health, especially when a routine panel came back inside the normal range. Women in perimenopause or menopause also fall into this group.
The first visit is a conversation, not a prescription. Expect detailed questions about sleep, stress, training, medications, and family history, followed by lab work you complete before your results review.
Lab results are usually back within about a week, and your review visit follows shortly after. If treatment begins, levels are typically rechecked within the first few months, since hormones respond gradually rather than overnight.
Hormone therapy is not appropriate for everyone, and certain histories rule it out. Dr. Mooney reviews the risks with you before anything begins, and treatment is recommended only when it is medically appropriate for your situation.
Follow-up is part of the treatment rather than an optional add-on. Levels and symptoms are reassessed at regular intervals, and your plan is adjusted based on what has changed.
